Despite overloaded trucks claiming an alarming number of lives, the menace persists on the Capital's roads. The truck involved in Sunday night's accident on National Highway-1 was reportedly carrying double the permissible load of goods and the state of the vehicle was so poor that the driver was sitting on a wire mesh instead of a sea.
