Five persons, including a
woman, died and 29 others were injured when the Karnataka State Road
Transport Coporation bus in which they were travelling rammed into a
roadside tree near Birur, 50 km from here on Tuesday October 25.
The front portion of the bus was completely smashed in the process.
The injured have been admitted to a Hospital in Shimoga and government hospital in Tarikere respectively, police said.
