Five people are killed on the spot and many critically 
injured after a bus collided head-on with a truck near the Eraballi 
Village in Chitradurga, located about 200 kilometers from Bangalore

Five people were killed when bus carrying passengers 
collided head-on with a truck near Eraballi village in Chitradurga 
district, Karnataka, about 200 kilometers from Bangalore city. Initial 
reports suggested that the driver of the bus tried overtaking through 
poor visibility in the early hours of morning and collided with a truck 
coming from the opposite side.
 Nearby villagers rushed to the spot and 
were involved in rescue operation before the police reached the spot. 
Traffic along the Hiriyur-Bellary road was held for few hours due to the
 accident.
