Delhi-bound trains collide close to Mathura, kill 23
The severed foot of a passenger lies on the track after two trains collided on the same track at Mathura, some 150kms south-east of New Delhi on October 21, 2009. Authorities are still trying to determine why the accident happened, rail official Sri Prakash said.
Accidents are common on India's sprawling rail network, which is one of the world's largest, with most accidents blamed on poor maintenance.
