Meghalaya: Two dead, 27 injured in bus accident

 

 

A bus fell into a gorge in Meghalaya on Monday, killing two people. According to the sources, 27 others were injured in this accident.

As per the sources, the Guwahati-bound bus rolled down the gorge in the Mawblei area of East Khasi Hills district.

"Two people were killed in the accident," a police official said.

A police official said that soon after the mishap, the injured were rushed to the nearby hospital.

"The rescue operations are over and an investigation has begun to ascertain the cause of the accident," the official added.
