
The HinduThree persons were killed when a bus collided with a vehicle
Tragedy struck a marriage party from Prakasam district when five of its
members, including the bride, were killed in a ghastly road accident at
Srirampur in Adilabad district on Sunday. Six others who were injured
are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karimnagar.
According to police, the ill fated marriage party belonged to S.
Jayalaxmi of Matloor in Prakasam. The bride was set to marry Praveen
Kumar of Bellampally town in Adilabad district at a Church in his home
town. Both of them were post graduate students of Guwahati University in
Assam.
The jeep carrying the bride and her friends and family collided head on
with a lorry near the Singareni General Manager’s office at Srirampur
which resulted in the death of 26-year-old Jayalaxmi, S. Suresh Kumar,
the 25-year-old driver from Dharmavaram in Visakhapatnam, Samreen, 56,
K. Rahmatullah, 57 and Abdul Khudoos, 60 of Maddipadu in Prakasam
district. Mancherial DSP Ramana Kumar and Jaipur SI Srilatha visited the
spot and organised rescue operations.
3 killed in Anantapur
In a separate incident at Anantapur district, three persons were killed
when a bus collided with a vehicle at Sunkapalli in Mudigubba mandal.
